Up and Under by Gwyn Martin

The story of a Welshman's war in Bomber Command. Another story of training, bombing, crash and capture and the years in Stalag Luft III. This story is another that has gained in frankness what it had lost in accuracy (not that the latter is lacking). This memoir was published by the author personally, at the age of 68. We were flying at less than a 1,000 feet at the time, there was no sign of activity at the target nor were there any fires within miles of it.

Mining the Oort by Frederik Pohl

The story of an idealistic young man from Mars who becomes an Oort miner. A project is started to give Mars an atmosphere by crashing comets from the Oort cloud onto its surface. The miners are the people who find the comets, attaches engines to them, and direct them to land on Mars. The young man becomes a little wiser during his training, and in the end thwarts an evil plot.

As the crucial element in his employers plans, he becomes the victim of corruption and betrayal at the highest level. In the end the crook goes free, but the spy and his woman escapes through the loyalty of his handler.
