The Carbon War: Dispatches from the End of the Oil Century by Jeremy Leggett

An alternative title for this book would be "The Road to Kyoto", as it shows one man's experiences of what it took to get the Kyoto Protocol signed. The "War" part is the conflict between environmentalists (Greenpeace) and the "Carbon Club", a collection of industrialists that denies climate change problems. Published in 1999, the author is no doubt tremendously disappointed by the actions of GW Bush.
